But I read some nice blogs and work got rather boring lately. Life is getting back on track, business is thinning, more free time, so I thought "hey, why not start another and see how long this will last." ^^
I don't think I will write too much 'cos I am after all a man with few words. But it is getting rather dangerous to reply to posts or blabber on facebook these days...it's drawing too many attention and any wrong word you use would just land you in jail or a lawsuit. Truth is, a man with few words as I am is finding myself talking more and more recently. Maybe it's the stress. The proximity between people is getting closer each day. Too many tourists, expats, foreign talents as they called them. Can't....breathe....(gasping)

I got on a bus lately and to my surprise, I'm the only local on it. Even the bus driver is not of my native. He's blabbering my destination in a fine mainland China accent. Not that I couldn't speak Mandarin, but...(wah piang eh) I don't speak China Chinese everyday. Even an Englishman wouldn't necessarily understand the Queen's English.
Get a car you'd say? It's not as easy to buy a car in Singapore. The certification to run a car on the road would just cost you the same price to buy 2 cars in some cases. Thereafter, you will still have to battle with Road Tax,Petrol charges,Maintenance fees,Insurance,Season parking,Toll (yes toll everyday everywhere on this puny lil island). Toll to get to work, Toll to get home early, Toll to enter the town area, Toll to get out, Toll Toll Toll.... and of course the physical battles with reckless drivers on the road.
2 interesting cars zoomed past me last weekend when I was driving my dad's humble Hyundai with my family. First, a Maserati spelling its name out on large font on the car door "Masserati" (the vinyl sticker could be made in China) and Second was a chilli-red Ferrari with a weekend car plate. You pay lower road tax and license fee for weekend car plates, for you are only allowed to bring them out over the weekend and after 7pm on the other days. Then it sets me thinking, this is how the rich fuckers are getting richer. You are so rich to buy a Ferrari, but you are not willing to pay the regular taxes to drive them. Smart arses.... I shall start bringing back toothpicks and wet tissues back from every Chinese restaurants I go to from now on...
Anyway, if you chance upon my blog, read it with an open mind. Be nice. Everyone deserves the rights to bitch. Otherwise we will just go mad very easily, like many of those who are shaking their cars at petrol kiosks in JB. (brudders, it really doesn't work. unless your petrol piping runs like your intestines and have lumps here and there on the way down).
Till the next time (when I'm free to write and still remember I have a blog here), Godspeed. xoxo
